WE ARE NOT READY

Yes, is what you read! We are not ready to receive the 2014 World Cup and 2016 Olympic Games. I am Brazilian, pure blood brazilian. I’m young and as a young I don't want this sports events, just because my country is not ready, not now. Spread to the world, tell everyone.

While our government doesn’t give us support with a worthy health and equipped hospitals, doctors prepared and willing to work, our people are dying in the countless queues, mistreated as a street dogs, being internee in beds in the middle of the corridors because there's not have beds enough for all the patients.

Would you like to be there? No one does!

In education is not different. Poor quality, teachers underpaid, schools falling into neglect. In World Education Forum, we are between the 35 worse countries in quality of education, 88th position to be exact. See more in this WEF archive.

Are you asking about security?! Well, well.. Security is a keyword when we talk about all these world events. According the "Observatório da Segurança Pública” – Public Security Observatory - there was a significant increase in the crime rates on the last ten years. Why? Well as the teaches, cops underpaid, Militias, huge drug traffic with borders unprotected, violence against the women, gays and minorities. Here we don’t have death penalty or life imprisonment (And we don’t need it), the only thing we have here is mild laws that is injust, and hardly keep a marginal in jail for long time. I just think it could be more severe. Sometimes seems like our justice is blind, at least is what the statue in front of Federal Supreme Court seems transmit. The real meaning of this statue is “The justice is for all/ Impartiality Of Justice”... Should be that way!
Seems madness, but it are basic needs that we don’t have in quality. The only GUILTY for this is called CORRUPTION. The salary to people that work, sometimes all day, in worse conditions is R$ 672,00 ( Almost US$ 300,00) while a parliamentary receive more than R$ 26.000,00 (Something close US$ 12.000,00).

We are out on the streets because we are tired to be deceived by the government. We’re doing manifestations for quality of life. In our contry we have one of the most high interest tax in the world. We're paying dearly for what we don’t have. It’s frustrating.

I repeat I’m young, and I want a better place for me and my next generation. I do not hate the World Cup and Olympic Games, but we have priorities. I’m not thankless and even not patriarch. I live in Brazil, beautiful by nature, the 6th most biggest economy in the world with a big social inequality. I love my country, and for this reason I can say it can improve. But we are not ready... Not now!
